You´ve probably tried hundreds of LUTs already, and you might have experienced that the LUTs didn´t really look good on your footage. It was either to contrasty, to much boost in the highlights or shadows. This is the typical “finished grade” which means the LUT is created with the correction of the footage. So the footage was first corrected, then graded and then a LUT was made.
This is only beneficial for the creator of the LUTs and will make the colors look different for you, unless you record and have the exact same camera settings as the creator of the LUT.

The "Sign" LUT was made to preserve the colors whilst decreasing overexposed parts in the image as well as decrease the overall sharpness!
